Network Cabling Technicians: Training and Employment Program

Dear community members,

Through our networking we have found that Margaret’s Housing and Community Support Service Inc is currently recruiting their 9th cohort of the Network Cabling Program that will start in April 2024.

The program is designed to help internationally trained/educated professionals (ITI) who want to pursue a Career in the Network Cabling industry.

The goal is to help ITI’s integrate into the Ontario workforce at a level correspondent to their skills, education, and experiences. Eligible participants will go through a 12- week training program on job search skills, workplace communications, and technical training at Herzing College before graduating with industry-recognized certificates (Network Cabling, WHMIS, and Working at Heights) that leads to employment.

To be eligible for the bridge training program, clients must:

·                be at least 18 years old

·                be a resident of Ontario

·                have international post-secondary education

·                have international work experience in their occupation of choice

·                have language proficiency of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 5 or higher

Additionally, they must be one of the following:

·                refugee claimant with a valid work permit

·                permanent resident

·                Convention refugee

·                naturalized Canadian citizen

International students and temporary foreign workers are not eligible.

Weekly info sessions: Every Tuesday from March 5 – April 16, 2024 | 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m
