Extensions to EI, CRB, CRCB, and CRSB

The federal government has announced extensions to economic support programs as we still face the pandemic.

EI, CRB, CRCB, and CRSB will all be extended as we continue to face to pandemic. A summary of the changes are below:

  • You can claim up to 50 weeks for EI Regular Benefits between September 27, 2020 and September 25, 2021.
  • CRB (Canada Recovery Benefits) and CRCB (Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefits) will also be extended. You can claim up to 38 weeks between September 27, 2020 and September 25, 2021
  • CRSB (Canada Recovery Sickness benefits) will also be extended to 4 weeks if you cannot work due to illness or have to self-isolate in the pandemic
